Día de los Muertos is a beautiful tradition that brings the community together to celebrate life and honor those who have passed. The day will include a procession through the village, altars, offerings, and a bonfire finale. There will also be over 40 pop-up vendors, food trucks, face painting, a DJ, and live music. Whether you’re new to the tradition or a regular participant, we welcome you to get involved in this unique and heartfelt event.
The day begins at 9 AM with face painting, followed by an 11 AM procession from the Tubac Presidio Historic State Park. Visitors can explore altars throughout the village, enjoy food trucks, over 40 pop-up vendors, live music by Martín Marquez, a Catrina Contest, and a moving bonfire finale at 12:15 PM in the K Newby Gallery Sculpture Garden. This is an outside event, so please dress appropriately and wear comfortable shoes. Purchase food at the festival.
