The Linda McCartney Retrospective 07/19/2023

Come join us for a trip to the University of Arizona's Center for Creative Photography to see the North American debut of Linda McCartney's photography.

Curated by members of her family, this exhibit is an insight into her unique style. Presented in three sections, the exhibit covers her whole career from 1965 to 1997. The Family section features her life as a mother, wife, and animal activist. The Photographic Experimentation section shows her various perspectives using Polariod images, black & white, and other photographic processes. The Artist section consists of photographs of the 1960s music scene.

After, please take advantage of the many wonderful restaurants in the area. Lunch is optional and at your own expense.

Meet at the Photography Club at 9:15 AM for carpooling, departure at 9:30. Please wear your GVR Photography Club badge, if you have one.

As a courtesy, please contribute gas money to your driver if carpooling. Parking is located at the Park Ave Parking Garage. Cost is approximately $6.00.

GVR is requiring that every person participating in the club's field trips sign a waiver absolving GVR of any liability. You will be required to sign the waiver at the Photography Club before the trip departs.

NOTICE:

All participants need to be responsible for an assessment of their mobility and health issues relating to field trips. Some trips may not be appropriate, but you must make that determination. However, the trip leader may deny participation in a specific field trip to anyone deemed not suitably prepared or able to walk with the group.

The club strives to provide several field trips specifically designed for members with physical limitations.

In order to participate in this event, you must be a member of the GVR Photography Club and GVR.
