Tucson Wagon and History Museum 1/16/2024

Trip Cost $12

The Tucson Wagon and History Museum (formerly the Tucson Rodeo Parade Museum) features over 100 historic horse-drawn vehicles including the Maximillian & Carlotta coronation carriage (the last Emperor and Empress of Mexico) and carriages featured in Oklahoma, McClintock, and other western-themed movies.  The museum also provides a unique and fascinating look at life in Tucson in the early 1900s, including a blacksmith shop, saddle shop, and many other exhibits and period artifacts from the turn of the 20th century.

We will drive to the museum and be met by a docent, who will guide us through the various exhibits.  This behind-the-scenes tour will enable participants to use tripods, monopods, and flash equipment. The tour should take approximately 2 1/2 hours, ending around noon.

Following the tour, participants are invited to a no-host lunch at Delicia's Mexican Grill where the trip will end about 1:30 PM. We should return to Green Valley by 2:30 PM.

Additional information about the Tucson Wagon and History Museum is available here.

The museum offers free parking for guests.  For those carpooling, $5.00 is an appropriate contribution to the driver.
