Big Winter Photography Class - Thursdays

Starting January 12 through February 9, 2023 at 1:00pm

The GVR Photography Club will be presenting a “Big Winter Photography Class” again in the winter of 2023. The Class will be offered in five sessions, on Thursday afternoons at 1:00 PM, in the Club’s large lecture room or on Zoom, and there will be one optional follow-up session. Currently, the registration will be limited to 35 in-person attendees. A waitlist will be available and waitlist members will be offered spots due to cancellations or an opportunity to participate on Zoom. The Zoom link will be sent upon registration.

January 12th at 1:00 PM

This session will introduce the GVR Photography Club with an overview featuring Club Officers, Special Interest Group Facilitators, Trip coordinators, and more. Equipment and software will be mentioned.

January 19th at 1:00 PM

This session will be on ‘Basic Camera Features” that are applicable to both cameras and phones. Participants should gain a basic understanding of the principles and terminology used in all photographic devices.

January 26th at 1:00 PM

This session will cover the design elements that photographers affectionately call “Composition”. Through “Composition” photography becomes an art form, regardless of the device used, DSLR, Point and Shoot, or Phone.

February 2nd or February 9th at 1:00 PM 

This class has been separated into two separate sessions, February 2nd will feature iPhones as photographic devices while February 9th will feature Android Phones

In order to participate in this event, you must be a member of Green Valley Recreation and the GVR Photography Club.
