November Birding/Nature Photography Madera Canyon

Trip Cost $13

Proctor Trail and Hummingbird Feeders at Santa Rita Lodge.

Madera Canyon is one of the top birding hot spots in the world and is easily accessed from Green Valley. The Proctor Trail is paved and provides easy walking for the participants. We will travel along the paved path at Proctor and will end our trip at the Santa Rita Lodge where you can photo

graph myriad birds and hummingbirds up close and personal.

The trip will be led by bird and nature expert, Sandy McMahan, who is a long-time teacher and trip leader. Whether you're an expert birder/photographer or a beginner, you will enjoy Sandy's narratives. If you have binoculars, you may want to bring them along. A small notebook and pen or pencil would be useful to record your sightings.

Be sure to wear comfortable clothes and shoes. A hat and water are suggested.

There is a $5 per car charge for entrance to Madera Canyon not included in the cost of the trip. The Senior National Park Pass is accepted.

Meet at the Camera Club at 7:45 AM for carpooling, departure at 8:00. Linda Gregory will be our leader.  For questions call Linda at 520-625-5121 or email at lsgregaz@gmail.com.

Last refund date is November 20th.
